Welcome to Carella Sicilia Experience . Using our site, you can book stays at our accommodation facilities.
We invite you to carefully read the following terms and conditions. Carella Sicilia Experience reserves the right to modify these general conditions to adapt to market changes, regulations or service needs. Use of the site implies acceptance of these conditions of sale.
1. Acceptance of the General Conditions
By completing the booking form on the website, the Customer unconditionally accepts and undertakes to observe these general conditions, declaring that he has read and accepted all the indications provided to him in accordance with the above-mentioned rules, also acknowledging that Carella Sicilia Experience srl will not be bound to different conditions unless previously agreed in writing. Any nullity or invalidity, in whole or in part, of one or more articles of these General Conditions does not in any way affect the validity of the other articles contained in the contract, which are to be considered unlimitedly valid and effective. In place of the invalid or ineffective condition, another provision will be applied that proves to be congruent with the economic purposes of the agreement.
2. Customer Obligations
These conditions must be read carefully and accepted online before confirming the booking. Upon completion of the booking, the Customer is required to keep a copy of the general conditions. To purchase accommodation services, you must be of age; bookings made by minors, interdicted or disabled persons will be considered null and void.
The guest is required, at the latest upon departure, to pay the additional fees, connected to extra services/performances used by the guest and/or the persons accompanying him, plus the statutory value added tax and the tourist tax if applicable. The guest is also responsible for any damage suffered by Carella Sicilia Experience or by third parties, including other guests, caused by him or caused by persons for whom he is responsible.
3. Purchase Methods
The Customer purchases the accommodation services at the price indicated at the time of booking confirmation, which includes the summary of the services and the related cancellation conditions. After confirmation, the Customer will receive an email with the booking details and the confirmation number. The final confirmation is subject to the payment of the specified amount.
Note : Please carefully check the booking summary before completing the payment. Any inaccuracies in the data entered are the responsibility of the Customer and must be immediately communicated to the property.
4. Conclusion of the Contract
The contract is finalized with the acceptance of the reservation by Carella Sicilia Experience . The guest is required to pay the total amount at the time of confirmation. In the absence of receipt of the entire payment, Carella Sicilia Experience reserves the right to cancel the reservation.
5. Cancellation Policies and Fees
5.1 Standard Rate
• Free cancellation within 4 days of check-in date.
• Cancellation from 4 days to 1 day before check-in: 50% penalty.
• Cancellation on the day before check-in or no-show: 100% penalty.
5.2 Non-Refundable Fee
Non-refundable rate reservations do not provide any refund for cancellations or changes.
Reservation Guarantee : A credit card is required as a guarantee for all reservations. Carella Sicilia Experience reserves the right to pre-authorize the card provided.
6. Check-in and Check-out
• Check-in : starting from 12:30. The guest may be asked to self check-in in case of arrivals after the permitted times. Please inform in advance about the expected time of arrival; in case of afternoon or evening arrivals these can be guaranteed with remote opening and/or numeric code.
NOTE : The guest is always required to communicate in advance the expected arrival time at the Facility. In the absence of such information, the information for self check-in and/or the codes for access to the Facility may not be communicated.
• Check-out : by 10:30. Late check-out is subject to availability and may incur an additional charge.
7. Online Check-in
The guest has the possibility to check in online using the form provided by the Facility. The guest is responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of the data entered in the online form. The Facility reserves the right not to accept the guest if the data entered is incorrect, incomplete or does not comply with legal requirements.
The guest exonerates the Facility from any liability regarding the correctness of the data sent to the competent Authorities for compliance with public safety regulations. The Facility will therefore not be held responsible for any sanctions, reports or inconveniences arising from the communication of incorrect data, if such errors are attributable to information provided by the guest.
8. Accommodation Policies
Guests are required to abide by the property rules and to behave respectfully towards other guests and staff. Silence is required between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM. Carella Sicilia Experience reserves the right to charge for any damage caused to the property.
Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the property. Failure to comply will result in the application of a penalty for extraordinary cleaning of the room.
9. Prohibition of Introduction of Unauthorized Guests
To ensure the safety and privacy of all our guests, Carella Sicilia Experience prohibits the introduction into the facility of people who are not previously authorized and registered at the reception. The guest undertakes not to allow access to the rooms and other common areas by individuals who are not registered or authorized by the Management. Any violations of this clause will result in the adoption of adequate security measures, which may include removal from the facility without the right to a refund and further sanctions where provided for by law.
10. Exclusion of the right of withdrawal
Art. 47 of Legislative Decree no. 206 of 6 September 2005 and subsequent amendments, “Consumer Code”, expressly excludes the applicability of the rules on contracts concluded outside commercial premises, distance contracts and the related right of withdrawal to contracts that fall within the scope of application of the rules on travel, holidays and “all-inclusive” circuits, pursuant to Articles 32 to 51 of Legislative Decree no. 79 of 23 May 2011 and to passenger transport service contracts. Consequently, the right of withdrawal is excluded for all purchases made on www.carellasicilia.com.
11. Reports at the time of booking
Any preferences indicated by customers regarding the choice of rooms (e.g.: separate beds, cot, internal balcony, ...) are not binding for Carella Sicilia Experience, which may accept them or not according to possibility.
12. Liability for damage to property
Carella Sicilia Experience is responsible for damages suffered by the guest if the damage occurred on the premises of the facility and the facility itself or its employees are responsible for it. Carella Sicilia Experience is responsible for things brought into the premises by the guest up to a maximum amount equivalent to ten times the rental price per day if and when it is unable to demonstrate that the damage was not caused by the guest, its employees or people who frequent its establishment. In this context, it is responsible, up to the maximum amount mentioned, for deterioration, destruction or theft of things, valuables, money and securities. Carella Sicilia Experience is not responsible, however, when the damage or theft occurred due to the customer's actions, force majeure or the nature of the thing or is related to goods not adequately stored and/or notified in advance to reception at the time of check-in. The storage of objects may be refused if they are dangerous (i.e. potentially capable of causing damage), too bulky or of excessive value. Things are considered to have been brought into the facility when they are taken over by a member of the accommodation facility staff or are brought to a place within the accommodation facility designated for their safekeeping. The guest must report the fact without unjustified delay to the management of the facility in order not to lose the right to compensation (art. 1785 ter cc).
13. Maintenance
Carella Sicilia Experience reserves the right to make changes to the organization and facilities during the period of opening to the public. As part of the necessary maintenance activities, the customer will agree, without claiming reimbursement rights, to work being carried out on the accommodation or hotel facilities during the period of his/her stay therein.
14. Animals
The introduction of pets is permitted only with prior notification and approval by the Management of Carella Sicilia Experience. Pets will be admitted exclusively in the rooms indicated by the property and according to the rules of internal coexistence. There is an additional cost for extraordinary cleaning of the room, which will be communicated at the time of confirmation. The property reserves the right to refuse access to pets not reported in advance or that do not comply with the established conditions.
15. Termination of the contract – subsequent impossibility
Carella Sicilia Experience will terminate the contract with immediate effect in the event that the guest:
• uses the premises with serious damage to the property or makes cohabitation with other guests intolerable by behaving in an overbearing, disrespectful, scandalous or in any case reckless manner or is guilty of actions or omissions against the accommodation service provider, the staff, other guests and/or persons who are in the Facility, punishable by law as a crime and which have as their object, property rights, morality and physical integrity;
• in the event that he/she suffers from a contagious disease or from a disease whose course exceeds the agreed period of stay or in the event that special care is required;
If the fulfillment of the contract is impossible due to force majeure events (e.g. natural disaster, strike, lockout, official provisions, etc.), Carella Sicilia Experience may terminate it at any time without notice, unless the contract is already considered terminated by law, or the hotel has already been released from its obligation. Any right to compensation for damages, etc. by Carella Sicilia Experience is excluded.
16. Complaints
Carella Sicilia Experience reserves the right, for organizational reasons or service needs, to change the assignment of the booked room with an accommodation of equal quality and type. This possible change will be made without altering the quality level and the main characteristics of the accommodation. In such cases, the guest will not be able to make requests for reimbursement or compensation.
If the guest feels it is necessary to make a complaint in reference to his/her stay, the reasons must be communicated on site, directly to the Management of the facility. If the guest is not satisfied with the way in which the complaint is received, he/she has 10 days after departure to submit a written complaint, with a detailed explanation of the reasons for the complaint.
17. Privacy and Data Protection
Customers' personal data are processed in accordance with the GDPR and are used exclusively for the management of the reservation. The property does not assume responsibility for lost or damaged personal items.
18. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
These conditions and the relationships between Carella Sicilia Experience and its users are governed by Italian law. Any dispute will be under the exclusive jurisdiction of the court of Palermo.
